Foothill Choirs
Each of the Foothill Choirs provides a unique learning environment. From beginning to advanced, each choir holds its own distinguished merits. As a whole, the Choral Program strives to cultivate an environment of growth, friendship, unity, and excellence. Students will find themselves presented with exciting challenges and numerous performance opportunities.
They will be challenged, but will make friendships that last a lifetime.
Foothill's advanced ensembles are comprised of students from 9th-12th grades with an exceptional knowledge of musicianship and vocal technique. Madrigal Singers and the Advanced Treble Ensemble have consistently earned markings of superior at choral festivals and are awarded first place at competitions. Performing a wide variety of repertoire, both choirs enjoy music from all genres and are dedicated to perfecting the choral art. Members audition annually in the spring.
Open to all students in 9-12th grades, both the Bass Choir and Concert Choir provide students with an understanding of the basic music theory and bestow a uniquely stimulating choral experience. Students encounter musical works from various time periods and a wide representation of cultures. They look forward to preparing for three choral concerts per year in addition to the annual "Knights" show! No audition is necessary, students may register for Bass Choir or Concert Choir as
they select their courses.
